[Bangs gavel.] Proceed. Amazon has released the first trailer for its new legal drama, Goliath, and boy, this sure isn’t a Boston Legal type of affair. It stars Billy Bob Thornton as a disgraced lawyer turned ambulance chaser named Billy McBride (what can we say, he likes the name) who decides to pursue a wrongful-death lawsuit for a shot at redemption but winds up discovering that the case not only involves his old law firm, but also contains a deadly conspiracy. Also starring William Hurt and Olivia Thirlby, the series will premiere on Amazon on October 14. The chance for a Judge Judy cameo is slim to none.
