Whoopi Goldberg Says She’s ‘Probably’ Leaving The View After This Season, So Don’t Say She Didn’t Give You Fair Warning

By next September, ABC’s going to have to review what’s going on at The View. Today, Whoopi Goldberg, who acts as a moderator on the long-running daytime talk show, told Wendy Williams that she probably won’t return after her contract is up at the end of this season. “No, probably not,” Whoopi said when Williams asked if she’d renew her contract. “I have to do it, baby, because I have to go and grow. I got stuff to do, I got movies I need to direct, I got books I got to finish. This was great and I love doing it, but it’s been awhile and they’re in their 20th season, they did this without me,” Goldberg, who first appeared on the show in 2005, added. “I’ve been here for half of it, but not all of it.” Maybe Goldberg could start working in prime-time TV, and finally get that prime-time Emmy.
