Today in music news is something entirely predictable that feels very right — Green Day has the week’s top-selling album. Revolution Radio, the trio’s 12th studio album, sold 95,000 albums, according to Billboard. With the success of the album’s still relevant single, “Bang Bang,” which is currently boasting a spot in the top ten Alternative Songs airplay chart, Green Day has been enjoying some pretty positive critical responses. Which isn’t bad, considering the group has been playing for 30 years now. Previously, the punk rockers made it to the number-one title with 21st Century Breakdown and American Idiot, but Revolution Radio is Green Day’s tenth album to be in the Top Ten best-sellers. So, in other words, “Still Breathing,” indeed.
