Doesn’t it kind of feel like Ava Duvernay’s A Wrinkle in Time adaptation is just going to keep being cast infinitely, forming a kind of Oprah-blessed utopia where everyone has a voice and dreams come true — but like it’s never actually going to be real? Well, according to Variety, another actress has been raptured into Duvernay’s Time, and it’s Gugu Mbatha-Raw. She will play Mrs. Murry, the mother of Meg and Charles Wallace and a scientist who helps devise the notion of the wrinkle in time with Meg’s father. Mbatha-Raw joins Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, and young actress Storm Reid in the good place. Duvernay is, in her own words, thrilled about the addition to her Time Squad.
