Jennifer Connelly’s Sordid Teen-Model Past Comes to Light on Kimmel

By

Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, it was revealed that even before a young Jennifer Connelly slow danced with Jareth the Goblin King she was busy — posing as the cover model for a series of teen-romance paperbacks. Connelly, who was on the show to promote her new film American Pastoral with Ewan McGregor, recalled that these photo shoots, which happened when she was “13 or 14,” were no run-and-gun affairs: The photographers would tell her the character’s backstory, and she’d “get into the spirit of what’s happening.” Highlights include Rock ‘n’ Roll Romance (“Because loving rock ‘n’ roll doesn’t mean you can’t fall in love!”) and Anabelle Starr, E.S.P, author Lila Perl’s ... other book title. Take a look, and you too can try to recall what happened to Fat Glenda.
