Watch Lin-Manuel Miranda’s New Version of ‘Ten Duel Commandments’ With Lyrics About Hillary Clinton

During Monday night’s Broadway for Hillary event, Hamilton’s superstar creator, writer, and original Alexander Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda teamed up with his former co-star, Tony Award–winning actress Renée Elise Goldsberry, for a version of “Ten Duel Commandments” unlike any performed before on the Great White Way. Using the counting structure of the rap, Miranda and Goldsberry named the ten things Americans need to do during the three weeks remaining before Election Day. A few items on the to do list include: “Call up some undecideds with your crew, your cousins in Ohio maybe try to flip them blue”; “Watch Hillary examine the terrain, watch her campaign with her man Tim Kaine, Tim Kaine in the membrane (Time Kaine in the brain)”; and “November 8, your last chance to participate, roll up to your polling place, vote up in your home state.” The audience went particularly wild for Miranda’s ninth item, “I only have one overwhelming feeling: Anybody here wanna shatter a glass ceiling?”

The star-studded evening also featured Jon Hamm, Hugh Jackman, Billy Crystal, Sarah Jessica Parker, Emily Blunt, Lena Dunham, Helen Mirren, Julia Roberts, and other celebrities. Watch Miranda and Goldsberry above, and read the full lyrics below.
