Good news, Mad Men fans: Matthew Weiner is making a new TV show. Bad news: We know as much about it as we ever knew about future episodes of Mad Men. Deadline reports that Weiner is returning to TV to create, write, and direct most of an eight-episode project for Amazon that’ll be produced by the Weinstein Company. The project will mark Weiner’s big return to TV after the end of Mad Men, though he’s kept busy since we last left Don Draper, directing an episode of Orange Is the New Black and writing a debut novel that’s set to come out in the fall of 2017. The Amazon series is a “contemporary anthology set in multiple locations worldwide.” In several of those locations, we imagine a character might encounter a difficulty.
