You know it’s a strange election year when Michael Moore has been simply too busy to weigh in until now. That silence has come to an end, however, now that Michael Moore has announced a new film, Michael Moore in TrumpLand, which will screen tonight at NYC’s IFC Center. Based on the Bowling for Columbine director’s one-man play, TrumpLand features Moore’s travels to the battleground state of Ohio, where he no doubt thrilled the populace by documenting Trump mania on the ground. TrumpLand kicks off a wider theatrical run on Wednesday, October 19. Which will prove more disturbing: Michael Moore in a sweat-drenched, hallucinogenic Eyes Wide Shut sex scene, or normal people acting genuinely gung-ho about Trump's candidacy? Only time will tell.
