Muppet Babies Are Coming Back to Ruin Your Childhood

The Muppet Babies, as you likely remember them, were adorable (if not slightly cracked-out) toddler iterations of their older puppet selves, but such innocence is no longer the standard for America’s children. The Muppet Babies are back, and they’re here to scare the bejesus out of your kids: The series, which originally ran from 1984 to 1991 on CBS (though that theme song will haunt us forever), is getting a reboot at Disney Junior set for 2018. But like all good things from your childhood, it’s been sullied — gone are the cute, cuddly baby Kermit, Miss Piggy, and friends we once cherished. Behold the new and unimproved, creepy CG-animated versions sent to give preschoolers nightmares. Because attempting to fix what isn’t broken worked out so well for Disney and the Muppets franchise last time.
