Last June, a gunman at the gay nightclub Pulse in Orlando killed 49 people in one of the America's deadliest mass shootings. Pulse was the club where a number of the queens of RuPaul's Drag Race worked and got their starts, including Detox, Roxxxy Andrews, Coco Montrese, and Ginger Minj. During New York City Pride in June, Roxxxy Andrews told me that she lost a number of friends that night: “It was like a home. We really made a family." In an exclusive clip to Vulture from the upcoming reunion episode of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, RuPaul and the rest of the queens remember the importance of Pulse both to their careers and the community at large. The reunion episode airs at 8 P.M. Eastern time on Thursday, October 27, on Logo and VH1.
