Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross Are Scoring Another Film Together

Has the coolest, hippest way to reveal who's scoring your upcoming film become posting the news on Instagram? Weeks after Luc Besson went on Insta to announce Alexandre Desplat would be scoring his space opera Valerian and the City of Other Planets, director Peter Berg has followed suit, writing that Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will do the scoring honors for his Boston marathon bombing drama Patriots Day, due out in January. "I couldn't be more honored than to be working with these two straight up genius artists," he wrote. "Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Bringing their deep soul and fury to @patriotsdayfilm @treznor." The talented duo previously collaborated on the scores for The Social Network, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and Gone Girl, the first of which netted them an Oscar for Best Original Score. We have a feeling this new project will remain ... quite ambient.
