It appears Making a Murderer subject Brendan Dassey will not be released from prison as immediately as was previously thought. Following a judge’s order just yesterday for him to be freed by Friday at the latest, a federal appeals court blocked that release in a motion granted on Thursday. Dassey will now have to remain in prison until the state’s appeal of his overturned murder conviction, which was thrown out in August, is settled. Earlier this week, a judge officially ordered Dassey’s release, which has been prolonged yet again.
