Fox has put into development a new comedy from the creators of How I Met Your Mother. According to Variety, Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are producing a single-cam comedy at Fox called Open Arms. Written by Peter Warren (Happyland, Ghost Team), the project centers on a couple named Howie and Joe who, “when they learn they can’t have a baby, take their nest egg and buy the Vermont inn they visit every year, but quickly realize they’re in over their heads.” Bays, Thomas, and Warren will all serve as co-executive producers.
