The King-Beyond-the-Wall has gone way, way beyond the wall; so far, in fact, that he has traveled to the distant planet of Apokolips and traded in his pelts for plates of high-tech armor — Ciarán Hinds has been cast as Justice League villain, Steppenwolf. As first reported by the scoopsmiths at Heroic Hollywood, the Game of Thrones alum will be playing an intergalactic warrior who works for Über-baddie Darkseid. We’ve already seen Steppenwolf in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, albeit briefly, wordlessly, and only in a deleted scene. It seems likely, based on that clip, that Steppy will be CGI-based, depriving us of one of modern filmmaking’s most intimidatingly dour punims.
