Because there can be no rest for the successful British TV writer, Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge has already found another new project. Titled Killing Eve, the eight-episode BBC America drama is based on a series of novellas by Luke Jennings and will focus on Eve, “a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade security services operative whose desk-bound job doesn’t fulfill her fantasies of being a spy” and Villanelle, “an elegant, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her.” While this show won’t necessarily have the same relationship humor that defined Fleabag, BBC America promises that Killing Eve will focus on the “subversive, funny, obsessive relationship between two women, that plays out across some of the most and least glamorous locations imaginable.” The series will premiere in 2018. If Fleabag is any indication, the choice of lipstick is going to be so on point.
