Seth Meyers Takes a Closer Look at the Real Donald Trump

By

Remember those innocent days before the 2016 election, when your opinion of Donald Trump was shaped by producers of The Apprentice? "Ah, what a fun, loud-mouthed, opinionated character this billionaire businessman is," you may have thought. Now, though, as Seth Meyers points out on Tuesday's Late Night, that savvy business acumen looks a lot more like nefarious tax evasion, and Trump's presumed intelligence is so easily questioned that Samantha Bee was able to create a very plausible conspiracy theory attacking his literacy. "His campaign aides talk about him as if he was a child," Meyers says about Trump's impulse control. Maybe if someone offered him two brownies instead of six earlier he wouldn't have to call his new hotel Scion.
