The emails turned out to not be directly related to the investigation of Clinton’s server but the Anthony Weiner sexting case, but Comey’s statement sent both Democrats and Republicans into a whirlwind of assumptions and hypocrisy, with Democrats now calling out Comey for lack of integrity and Trump saying the system now “might not be as rigged as I thought.” “Donald Trump still hasn’t released his tax returns, 12 women have accused him of sexual assault, and he’s going on trial for fraud for Trump University in November. But now, the only thing the media is talking about is emails,” Meyers says. “It’s like if during the OJ trial everyone was focused on whether or not the Ford Bronco had up-to-date registration.”
