Alec Baldwin is absolutely dying to get under Donald Trump’s skin, which is really saying something for a man who already looks like he’s wearing Trump’s skin, Buffalo Bill–style, almost every weekend. Noticeably absent from last week’s John Cena–hosted Saturday Night Live episode (a dilemma handled with an excellent sketch work around), Baldwin cannot stop hyping his triumphant return to the show on Twitter. Knowing the President-elect’s very public disgust at NBC’s late night lineup, and in particular Baldwin’s impersonation, this seems like a deliberate attempt to provoke a full-blown Twitter meltdown. The only question is: Will this turn out to be the first Twitter beef your children will have to read about in their American Politics textbooks?
