Daily Show correspondent Hasan Minhaj is headed to Netflix. According to Deadline, the streaming network has added an hourlong special from Minhaj called Homecoming King, which was filmed in Minhaj’s hometown in California on Friday. The special is “based on true events from Minhaj’s first generation Indian-American experience. Navigating between two worlds, it follows Minhaj’s arrival in the U.S., interracial love, racism, bullying, and his family’s quest to achieve the elusive American Dream.” In addition to Minhaj, Daily Show’s Trevor Noah also has a standup special at Netflix in the works called Afraid of the Dark, which premieres on Tuesday, February 21st. A premiere date for Minhaj’s special has not yet been announced.
