Bill, when someone asks you if you want to be in a movie with Kristen Wiig, you say, “YES!” While chatting with CBS’s Squawk Box about last summer’s Ghosbusters remake, Bill Murray revealed both that he had apparently been up for starring in that rumored Toni Erdmann remake with Kristen Wiig, but he eventually lost the role to Jack Nicholson. “I’m in trouble with myself, because Kristen Wiig, who I think is so wonderful, sent me something and said, ‘Would you look at this thing?’ And I’m just not very organized,” he admitted. “For a while I lost it, and then I found it, and I’m actually traveling with it. But I didn’t get around to watching this thing that she wanted me to watch. Then she said, ‘Well, Jack Nicholson took the job.” Murray joked, “That guy’s a poacher. He’ll take anything.” Entropy: man’s greatest enemy.
