Welcome to The Second City Archives, in which we post an exclusive clip each week of some of comedy’s biggest superstars performing early in their careers on the legendary Chicago stage. Second City has generously given us a glimpse into their extensive archive of live performances, and over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing some rare and retro comedy never before seen on the web.
No Black History Month would be complete without a bunch of white dudes complaining about why they don’t get a History Month of their own, and thanks to this week’s clip from Second City, we finally have the missing piece. From the 2005 revue Iraqtile Dysfunction, the above scene stars Brian Gallivan and Matt Craig as two white guys who set their sadness, frustration, and complaints to song. Check out another clip from the same revue featuring Claudia Wallace and Antoine McKay here as well as another musical clip starring Gallivan here.
