The comedic gods have spoken — noted funny people Rachel Bloom and Adam Pally will be co-starring in an upcoming dark mystery-comedy titled Most Likely to Murder, which is described (very amusingly) as a modern “Rear Window for stoners.” The film follows an adult named Billy (Pally), who was the most popular student at his high school, as he returns to his hometown ten years later to discover that “he’s no longer cool and the girl he still has feelings for (Bloom, presumably) is now dating the former high-school outcast.” When the outcast’s mother suddenly dies under highly suspicious circumstances, Billy “becomes obsessed with proving that she was actually murdered.” This will be the first film role for the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend heroine, while Pally has appeared in numerous critically acclaimed indies over the past few years. There probably won’t be any spontaneous singing, but who knows.
