Netflix is investing big in the comedy business. The site announced today that it will debut two stand-up specials from Louis C.K. The first, titled 2017 and certain to be pretty political, was filmed in Washington, D.C., and will premiere on April 4. C.K. is just the latest big-name comedian to head to Netflix, as the site has recently announced deals with Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, and Jerry Seinfeld. We imagine that, in the style of Netflix’s Marvel series, all these comedians will eventually cross over into each other’s universe for one big Avengers-style event: a roast of BoJack Horseman.
