Marriage is a long, winding path, and Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are presently mired in a thicket of weeds. The fight started when Shepard planted a La-Z-Boy recliner thwack in the middle of the couple’s living room, and it continued to escalate from there. First, the groundwork for murder was tossed around, and now they’re onto the next step of marital strife — assigning blame. Somehow, though, Ellen DeGeneres is the one getting caught in the crossfire. As Bell explained, “I maybe would have gone for it had I not gone to your house and seen how jaw-droppingly elegant it was … I can’t come over anymore. It’s bad for my marriage.” And so for us all.
