Grab some tissues and hold on to your wig, because RuPaul has teamed up with J.J. Abrams’s Bad Robot, and reality production company World of Wonder (RuPaul’s Drag Race), for a half-hour dramedy series about his life. According to Deadline, the period dramedy will be a fictionalized version of RuPaul’s rise from club kid to a glamazon to an iconic legend in drag queen “herstory.”

This year will be RuPaul’s ninth year hosting RuPaul’s Drag Race. Bad Robot is currently producing HBO’s Westworld, which is probably very different from what this show will be. Unless there’s some stuff in RuPaul’s past we don’t know about. Like, robot stuff.

Update August 9: Deadline reports that the series is in development at Hulu and is tentatively titled Queen.
