We’re definitely not in the darkest timeline, and we know that because Alison Brie is coming back to television with this delightful romp of a wrestling series. Behold Netflix’s GLOW: Created by Jenji Cohen (Orange Is the New Black, Weeds), the ten-episode season follows a struggling actress in 1980s Los Angeles (Brie) who finds “one last chance for stardom when she’s thrust into the glitter and spandex world of women’s wrestling” with a group of other Hollywood misfits. A washed-up B-movie director (Marc Maron) is also along for the ride as he attempts to lead the women on a journey to wrestling stardom. Bow down to the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling in all of their glory! GLOW starts streaming on June 23.
