Parrotheads in advancing age, Jimmy Buffett has just the place for you to waste away the rest of your days. The musician has plans to open a series of Margaritaville retirement communities inspired by his classic lazing tune of the same name. First up, a branch of the Latitude Margaritaville will open in Daytona Beach, Florida. According to the project’s website, “Inspired by the legendary music and lifestyle of singer, songwriter and best-selling author Jimmy Buffett, your new home in paradise features exciting recreation, unmatched dining and FINtastic nightlife.” The senior escape is expected to begin housing expats in the summer of 2018, just after Escape to Margaritaville plans to open on Broadway. Field trip, anyone?
