Anthony Hopkins stars in Transformers: The Last Knight as a Transformers historian, so, as he’s basically playing Michael Bay, it’s no surprise that Hopkins has high praise for his director. But still, the praise is really high. Talking to Yahoo! Movies, Hopkins shared his early impressions from meeting with Bay about the film over breakfast. “I thought, ‘This guy’s a genius, he really is.’ He’s of the same ilk as Oliver Stone and Spielberg and Scorsese. They’re brilliant, savants really, they are. I mean, he is a savant.” We’re not convinced some of Bay’s leading ladies would necessarily agree, but, sure, okay.
