Over four months after MTV canceled Nicole Byer’s comedy Loosely Exactly Nicole, the show might be getting a second chance at an unexpected place. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Facebook is reportedly “near a deal” to revive the series for a second season, and “a writers’ room has already been opened and some of the cast and all of creative team — including creator and showrunner Christine Zander — are poised to return.” Facebook and production company Jax Media haven’t confirmed the deal, but according to THR’s report, the new season is slated to premiere on Facebook’s video tab sometime over the summer. Loosely Exactly Nicole would mark just one of the reportedly 20+ shows in the works at Facebook, which, according to The Verge, are expected to launch as early as this month. Season 1 of Loosely Exactly Nicole wrapped up its 10-episode run back in October 2016.
