Netflix has a new comedy series in the works starring Tony Danza. According to Variety, Danza is slated to produce and star in an upcoming series for the streaming network called The Good Cop, in which he’ll play Tony Sr., “a disgraced, former NYPD officer who never followed the rules. He lives with his son, Tony, Jr., an honest NYPD detective who makes a point of always following the rules. Tony Sr. decides to help his son by offering advice on everything from handling suspects to handling women.” Netflix has ordered ten episodes of the hourlong dramedy, which will be co-executive produced by Monk’s Andy Breckman, Randy Zisk, and Howard Klein.
