2017’s Emmy Nominees: ‘Full Frontal,’ ‘Atlanta,’ ‘SNL,’ ‘Veep,’ and More

The 2017 Emmy nominations were announced today, and they’re full of new and returning comedy series. Saturday Night Live earned the most comedy nominations, with noms going out to cast members (Vanessa Bayer, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon), hosts (Dave Chappelle, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Kristen Wiig, Tom Hanks), frequent guests (Alec Baldwin, Melissa McCarthy), and the writing staff. Critically acclaimed series Atlanta, Master of None, and Veep also racked up some nominations, while the Variety Series category saw a bit of a shakeup with nominations for Full Frontal with Samantha Bee and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, not to mention a Fallon snub. Also: Billy on the Street, which got snubbed last year, earned a nomination in the Variety Sketch category.

This year’s ceremony will air on CBS Sunday, September 17th at 8:00pm, and Late Show’s Stephen Colbert will serve as host. Check out all the comedy nominees below:
