Amazon may have Matthew Weiner, but Netflix has managed to lasso in the Coen Brothers. The famed filmmakers are writing and directing a Western anthology The Ballad of Buster Scruggs for the streaming service, which plans to release the show in 2018. The project will star Tim Blake Nelson as Buster and feature “six tales about the American frontier.” In a statement, the Coen Brothers said, “We are streaming motherfuckers!” Yeee-haw!
