As if his starring role on Silicon Valley, critically acclaimed movie The Big Sick, and upcoming Saturday Night Live hosting gig weren’t enough to keep Kumail Nanjiani busy, now he has a new starring movie role opposite the always hilarious John Cena in the works. According to Deadline, Nanjiani and Cena are teaming up for an untitled buddy cop comedy in the works at Universal. There aren’t many details about the plot of the film available yet, but Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) is attached to direct and Murray Miller, who wrote Tour de Pharmacy and 7 Days in Hell, is writing the script.
