Saturday Night Live has made some changes to its writing staff. According to Variety, Weekend Update co-anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che have been named co-head writers at the show, joining Kent Sublette and Bryan Tucker. (Jost previously served as a head writer from seasons 38-40 but stepped down in 2015 presumably to focus on Update.) In addition, Sudi Green and Fran Gillespie have been promoted to writing supervisors; both were hired as writers prior to the season 41 premiere in 2015.
SNL closes out 2017 this weekend with returning host Kevin Hart and musical guest Foo Fighters.
