Liz Meriwether is keeping super busy these days. According to The Wrap, Fox has ordered a pilot produced by the New Girl creator and Lake Bell called Bless this Mess. The single-cam show, which has been in development at Fox since last year, centers on “a newlywed couple that gives up their drab and unfulfilling lives in NYC and moves to Nebraska to live a simpler life. It doesn’t work out like they planned.” In addition to executive producing alongside Meriwether and Katherine Pope, Bell is attached to write, star, and direct the pilot. Bless This Mess makes the third Meriwether-produced pilot in the works this season; she’s also behind Single Parents at ABC and Daddy Issues at Fox.
