After working on Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Michelle Wolf is now getting a late night show of her own. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has added a weekly late night series hosted by Wolf described as “a break from the seriousness of late-night comedy.” Dan Powell (Inside Amy Schumer) and Christine Nangle (The President Show) will serve as co-showrunners for the untitled series, will debut on Netflix sometime later this year. “You can expect the types of jokes my former bosses would tell me we couldn’t do on TV,” Wolf said on the project.
In addition to appearing on The Daily Show, Wolf recently debuted her latest standup special, Nice Lady, on HBO in December. Wolf’s Netflix series joins a growing list of talk shows happening or reportedly in the works at the streaming network, including David Letterman’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale, and a possible talk show from Norm Macdonald.
