‘Wyatt Cenac’s Problem Areas’ Debuts on HBO Next Month

Last year, HBO ordered a half-hour late night docu-series produced by John Oliver starring Wyatt Cenac, and now the show has a premiere date. Cenac announced on Twitter today that the series, titled Wyatt Cenac’s Problem Areas, is slated to premiere Friday, April 13th at 11:30pm:

HBO has ordered 10 episodes of the series, which takes “a satirical look at social and cultural issues from Cenac’s unique perspective. Rather than sit behind a desk, he will undertake a journey to understand some of the big issues of the moment and investigate real-world solutions.” In addition to John Oliver, Ezra Edelman (O.J.: Made in America), Diane Fitzgerald (Last Week Tonight) and Hallie Haglund (Daily Show) serve as producers, with Haglund doubling as the show’s head writer.
