Zach Galifianakis Makes an Unconventional ‘Conan’ Entrance with Some Help from Andy Richter

To promote the new season of his FX series Baskets, Zach Galifianakis stopped by last night’s Conan and had a great chat with O’Brien and Andy Richter about his kids, fame, embarrassing audition memories, and the time an NPR station he financially supported said they hoped his career was over. But before all that, Galifianakis decided to do his Conan entrance a little differently – specifically, by entering the show through Richter’s stomach instead of your typical walk-on from backstage. “Are you okay? Are you fine?” O’Brien asks him. “I’m fine! There was a lot of Toblerones in there!” Galifianakis responds. Then Richter cuts in: “Why the hell are you asking him if he’s okay?!”
