The Broad City comedy tree continues to grow, with Comedy Central announcing a series order for Alternatino with Arturo Castro on Tuesday during the unveiling of their 2018-2019 development slate. Castro plays Ilana’s roommate Jaime in Broad City, and was recently in the third season of Narcos. Alternatino is described as “a sketch show based on Arturo’s experiences as a Latino millennial in the United States.”
The network also recently announced developments from Broad City alums Kevin Barnett and Josh Rabinowitz (Kevin vs Josh), as well as Mall Town USA, which will be executive produced by Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer. The Broad City duo also just signed a new development deal with Comedy Central this month.
