With the eyes of nearly every millennial in Brooklyn on her at the Barclays Center last night, Lorde ascended to a new level of unobtainable cool by performing St. Vincent’s “New York.” She was cozily accompanied by Jack Antonoff, who’s collaborated with both Lorde and St. Vincent, and then transitioned into “Hard Feelings.” It makes perfect sense, given that Lorde and St. Vincent are both heartbreakingly talented, and have both been wandering the Earth for, roughly, thousands of years.
