Annette Bening Says Her Portrayal of Diane Feinstein Isn’t About ‘Propping Up’ Anybody

By

Annette Bening sat with Vulture’s Matt Rogers to talk about her new movie The Report, premiering at Sundance this weekend. In it, Bening plays the role of Senator Dianne Feinstein, whom she says she actually knows in real life and of whom she’s a fan. However, the actress says she didn’t meet with the senator when preparing for the role, as her portrayal isn’t meant to “prop up anybody.”
