Adam Driver Is a Fussy Director in Man Who Killed Don Quixote Clip

Adam Driver and Jonathan Pryce in "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote."

At long last, Terry Gilliam’s The Man Who Killed Don Quixote is coming to theaters. Three decades after Gilliam and screenwriter Tony Grisoni began writing the film, Adam Driver is playing Toby Grisoni, an ad man working on a commercial shoot in Spain, where he stumbles upon an old DVD of his student film, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. In a flashback, we meet Javier (Jonathan Pryce), the cobbler Toby cast as Don, and it looks like Javier’s having some trouble with his part. Younger Toby — looking very much like an emo Kylo Ren but with twice the attitude — blows up: “Javier you’re not making shoes now!” He snatches a prop sword and stabs some of wooden dummies. “Forget the shoes, you are Don Quixote. You are Don Quixote.” Spike Lee muse Driver is a harried director now! Watch this exclusive clip from Gilliam’s long-awaited movie and see The Man Who Killed Don Quixote in theaters, for one night in North America, April 10.
