The YouTuber takeover of late-night is complete. Not only do late-night hosts have to make sharable content the main goal of their show, but actual YouTube stars are joining the hosting game. YouTube star Lilly Singh will have a new show on NBC, A Little Late with Lilly Singh, replacing Last Call with Carson Daly. Singh came to The Tonight Show to make the announcement and have a cute family photo op with her TV big brothers, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers. “An Indian-Canadian woman with her own late night show? Now that is a dream come true,” Singh said in a statement from NBC. “I’m thrilled to bring it to life on NBC, and I hope my parents consider this to be as exciting as a grandchild.” Singh got her start on YouTube, and currently has 14 million subscribers to her channel. A Little Late with Lilly Singh is set to premiere in September 2019.
