Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo are a pair of close friends who wrote a great movie about close friends, Bridesmaids. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the creative duo are now getting back in the best-friendship game with Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar. The story follows the titular Barb (Wiig) and Star (Mumolo) as they set out from the Midwest for a Florida vacation in Vista Del Mar, where they will “soon find themselves tangled up in a villain’s evil plot to kill everyone in town.” Florida, right? The stars will write and produce together through the Gary Sanchez subsidiary Gloria Sanchez Productions, and the news comes days after it was announced that Adam McKay and Will Ferrell will be dissolving that banner after its current slate of projects is wrapped up. Here’s to one last blowout in Vista Del Mar.
