Mindy Kaling was already giving you Four Weddings and a Funeral, so she decided to throw the fifth one in for free. Universal Pictures is reportedly developing an as-yet-untitled comedy co-starring Mindy Kaling and Priyanka Chopra. And at the center of that comedy? A big fat Indian wedding. In fact, Deadline describes the film, which takes place in India and the United States, as “Crazy Rich Asians meets My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” Kaling will reportedly co-write the comedy alongside Brooklyn Nine-Nine creator Dan Goor and has an option to direct. Go ahead, see it with all your dad’s second cousins you haven’t seen since you were 8. It’ll be like seeing the movie in 3-D!
