Years after Broadcast News, Holly Hunter is moving all the way up the media chain of command. Per Deadline, Hunter has joined the cast of the second season of Succession to play Rhea Jarrell, “the politically savvy CEO of a rival media conglomerate,” who presumably faces off with Waystar Royco and therefore Brian Cox’s Logan Roy and the bumbling, scheming rest of his family. Succession returns to HBO sometime this August, which is good news if the end of Game of Thrones left you with a craving for more shows about dynastic upheaval, and great news if you’re into the possibility of seeing Holly Hunter rock a power umbrella.
