Today, Cardi B’s daughter Kulture turns one year old. It’s hard to believe it was really that long ago that we were learning of her existence on Saturday Night Live, but kids really do grow up so fast! To celebrate this milestone, Cardi uploaded a very special song she wrote for her daughter on Instagram. According to her caption, she recorded the song while recovering from an illness and before she’d revealed her pregnancy to the world, just one day before she delivered Invasion of Privacy to her label. She credits Eve with letting her use the beat, and in the lyrics she talks about everything from trying to hide her pregnancy to blogs that find nothing sacred to people who told her she would ruin her career. But, as is so often the case with haters, they were wrong. It’s also worth noting this song comes with many, many adorable baby photos!
