It’s a Christmas miracle: Emilia Clarke in a role where she can just be a normal girl. In the trailer for her new film, Last Christmas, Clarke plays an employee at a holiday shop, but she just can’t muster up any Christmas spirit. The elf costume isn’t helping morale. She suffers from a life-threatening illness and the heartache that can come with it. (In our world, Emilia Clarke has suffered from two brain aneurysms, one as recently as 2013.) But this is a Christmas movie, so enter Henry Golding. He bumps into her randomly, looking all like he does, saying stuff like, “There’s no such thing as normal — just being a human being is hard,” and encouraging her to find her own holiday spirit. It’s amazing what miracles can happen when someone as hot as Henry Golding enters your life. Icons Michelle Yeoh and Emma Thompson also star in this Paul Feig–directed movie, out this holiday season.
