Benny Blanco and Juice WRLD’s ‘Graduation’ Video Is the Ultimate High-School Movie Epilogue

You thought it was plenty dark when you found out The Sandlot’s Bertram “got really into the ’60s and no one ever saw him again,” but Benny Blanco and Juice WRLD’s “Graduation” music video takes movie-character epilogues to their next logical conclusion: the Robotic Wars. What starts as a sweet end-of-high-school tale starring lovebirds Hailee Steinfeld and Justice Smith spirals out of control as we find out the fate of our seniors in the futuristic hellscape that awaits them after high school. Let’s just say Hailee has bigger fish to fry than kissing at a roller rink or winning an Oscar when the Robotic War demands a hero. Actually, maybe that’s what happened to Bertram, too? The Sandlot never specifically says he didn’t die in the Robotic War, did it?
