French Canadian artist Geneviève Castrée’s elegantly comic style, as illustrated here on the cover of her book Tout Seul dans la Forêt en Plein Jour, Avez-Vous Peur? (All Alone in the Forest in Broad Daylight, Are You Scared?), makes her one of the only relatively kid-friendly artists working with wartime imagery. Graphic prep for the pending election? Castrée’s show of drawings opens at the uptown Adam Baumgold gallery next week.
